Gentle Family Dentistry for All Ages

We believe in the importance of good oral health at every stage of life. Whether meeting a child’s very first tooth or providing care for aging teeth and gums, we are committed to making every visit to the dentist an enjoyable experience.

Pediatric Dentistry

We spend a lot of time with our young patients to establish a lifetime relationship with each child. Children are not naturally afraid of the dentist.

  • The first visit can happen as soon as the first tooth erupts or by the first birthday. Helping your child become comfortable with the dentist at an early age can avoid a lifetime of dental anxiety.

  • Good habits should welcome that first tooth. New teeth are particularly susceptible to attack by sugars from food and liquid, so good brushing practices with a very soft-bristled toothbrush and child-safe toothpaste are important. We recommend checking your child’s teeth and gums every few weeks for discoloration indicative of decay can avoid early trauma and unhealthy teeth.

General Dentistry

  • Regular preventative exams and cleanings are essential at every age. We recommend a check-up every 6 months to not only give your teeth a thorough cleaning but also look for signs of teeth decay and cavities.

  • Fillings and extractions can happen to the best of us. When decay progresses to the point of creating a cavity, we may need to gently remove the decayed area and fill the tooth with a compound to prevent further damage to the tooth and/or root. Extractions may be necessary for baby teeth that need to come out to make room for the permanent tooth or when a tooth is so severely decayed that it puts the health of the surrounding teeth or jaw at risk.

  • Restorative procedures include crowns, bridges, implants, and veneers to help strengthen, repair, or replace your natural teeth. These services are required for various reasons and can be very stressful. We always strive to make the process as quick and painless as possible.

  • Teeth whitening is a service we provide to brighten and straighten your smile.

Geriatric Dentistry

  • Gentle treatments become even more critical as we age and our teeth become more fragile. Our needs for dental procedures often increases, and so does our anxiety about the dentist. We make every effort to make you comfortable during your visit and provide efficient, excellent care.

  • Dentures and restorative care can also become an important part of your oral health. We will work with you to always make sure any device you need is comfortable and the right choice for your needs.
